Originally posted on Small Review Bourne for the most part was really nice to read because I felt like I could breathe. I liked how the author gave Lia much more of a chance to narrate in these books than in the past.

The focus is still more on Lia, with other POVs interspersed. Praise for The River of Time Series: Luca and Lia’s romance moves forward just a bit more in the novella, which thrilled me. He’s roughened and torn, guilty and shredded and his yearning for redemption makes you want to seriously give him one big, bear hug.

Do I have to read these novellas before reading the next book? The setting is one of my favorite things about these books.

I have grown so fond of her characters and feel a connection with them. I fall in love with many guys in books!! The Kiss of Deception. See if you have enough points for this item. While Bourne would probably be great on it’s own, I do recommend first reading Waterfall, Cascade, and Torrent. I understand why they are seperate but they also work together as one story.
